PAVA Recognized Vocologist (RV)

PAVA is a multidisciplinary, member-driven organization comprised of voice professionals from numerous voice-related disciplines including Acting and Speaking Voice Habilitation, Choral Conducting, Laryngology, Manual Therapy and Bodywork, Music Education, Performance, Singing Voice Habilitation, Speech-Language Pathology, Vocal Coaching and Music Directing, Voice Science, and Vocology Research. PAVA serves to bridge these disciplines toward the common goal of understanding all aspects of vocalization.

PAVA-RV distinction was first envisioned in 2016, with the goal of recognizing our members who demonstrate knowledge and expertise across the many fields of voice and vocology. Through the hard work of numerous dedicated PAVA members and voice experts from across all disciplines, the PAVA-RV was launched in 2022. The PAVA-RV Committee oversees all administrative aspects of this important endeavor.

Ed Reisert, Chair

Edward Reisert has taught in the public schools for over thirty years, and currently serves as the Chorus Director at Fox Lane High School in the Bedford Central School District. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from The Boston Conservatory and his Master of Science in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego. He has completed additional studies at The Hartt School of Music and Shenandoah Conservatory.  

Edward’s choirs have performed at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, and his students have performed in state, national and international choral ensembles. He is a frequent guest conductor for county and regional music festivals in New York and Connecticut.  

Edward has served on the faculty of the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah Conservatory since 2009.

Mr. Reisert is a Life member of The American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and a Full member of the Pan-American Vocology Association.
